Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-05
PROTOCOL_27 ("the Experience", "we", "us") is an interactive puzzle website. This policy explains what limited data the Experience handles and why. By using the site you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
- Nickname (optional): if you choose to record a contributor name during the Experience, that text is stored so it can appear on a public solver leaderboard. Do not enter your real name, email, or any personal information — use a handle.
- IP address: your IP address may be logged for security and abuse-prevention purposes (for example, to enforce access restrictions described in the Terms). It is not used to identify you personally and is not sold or shared for marketing.
- Local browser storage: the Experience stores small progress markers in your browser's
localStorage (e.g. which stages you have reached, your chosen nickname). This stays on your device and is not transmitted except as needed to operate the game.
- Standard request data: like any website, our hosting provider processes routine request metadata (timestamps, user-agent, approximate region) to serve pages and keep the service running.
2. What we do NOT collect
- No accounts, no passwords, no email collection.
- No advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.
- No wallet connection is required to play. Do not enter private keys, seed phrases, or financial credentials anywhere in the Experience.
3. Device characteristics shown in-game
For atmospheric effect, parts of the Experience may display characteristics your browser exposes to any website (such as timezone, language, screen size, or device capabilities). These are read in your browser for display only and are not stored on our servers.
4. How data is used
- To operate the puzzle and show progress.
- To display a public leaderboard of solver nicknames and completion times.
- To protect the Experience from abuse and enforce access rules.
5. Storage & third parties
Data is processed by our hosting and database providers solely to operate the Experience. We do not sell your data.
6. Your choices
You may play without entering a nickname. You can clear the Experience's local data at any time via your browser settings. To request removal of a stored nickname, contact us via @TheOracle_27.
7. Children
The Experience is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Do not use it if you are under that age.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
This Experience is a work of interactive fiction. Any references to assets, tokens, reserves, or "real-world value" within the narrative are fictional and are not financial advice. See the
Terms.
